Hi everyone, just thought I'd talk about my 2023 on NG and what went on during my life.

Life Stuff

Generally this year had it's ups and downs, pretty high ups but pretty low downs. I met a lot of friends, especially on NG and NG circles on Twitter, I organized my first ever NG collab, finished an full album, had some mental health issues, among other personal issues.

But I would say that 2023 was a big improvement over last year, for sure! I hope things improve from here on out.

Back to semi regular submissions

I started to post a lot of tracks again after a hiatus, my creative burn out finally slowing to a crawl. Unfortunately due to a move I have to take another hiatus, but I've been itching a lot to start work again very soon.

Here's some personal favorites:

Albums Galore

During the summer I organized a Newgrounds exclusive collaborative album titled Slumberland, which garnered more than 11,000 listens at the time of writing this. 

It was a even bigger surprise to see the album officially advertised for more than a day on the frontpage as a banner. 

A very special thank you to Tom for slapping it on the frontpage banner and alongside the NG community being super supportive of the project, the wonderful musicians who participated to make it happen, and @KingCrowned for making the pretty banner. I cannot thank you enough.

And of course, I made my first full, actually half hour long album called EMOTICON HEARTZ, with good feedback.

Epic Video Games

I did some music for two of @Taka's games, Beck Gets Bitches for the Three Star Game Jam and Blam and Protectfor Pixel Day. Check them out!

Here's two tracks I've uploaded of the Blam and Protect soundtrack. I have some unreleased tracks that are exclusive to the sound test images that unfortunately haven't been discovered as far as I know, so I'll be releasing those soon.

I finally worked on my first ever game, BLIMBO, and made everything including the entire soundtrack myself. You can play it here and download the soundtrack on my Bandcamp page.

NGAP Collab Center

Due to a very big meanie who did very not nice things, I was chosen to be an admin and co-owner of the Audio Portal Collab Center discord server alongside @AhWham and Ahri. We were on the verge of wanting to trash it altogether but we managed to salvage it and make it even better.

Upcoming Projects

I have a new NG music collab in the works for either early this year or this coming summer, not sure which, and a NG timed exclusive EP as well. 

A sequel to BLIMBO is also being planned, and I do intend for it to be even better and higher quality than the first, and in a totally different gameplay style. I'll be searching for programmers soon!

...and that's about it as far as I know.

In Conclusion

2023 was great here on NG and so-so in my personal life. Here's hoping 2024 is better on both fronts. But before I go...
